This was written by Mr. Kannan EARLIER.
AND I FULLY AGREE WITH HIM, WHICH I EXPERIENCED.
You should really consider getting rid of this quote and doing some more reading about cholesterol and fat, particularly saturated fat. I don’t mean that as an insult. Through the many hours of reading, I’ve learned things that have debunked things I previously believed.
“According to University of Maryland Medical Center, Soluble fiber that includes psyllium husk, guar gum flax seed, and oat bran, can help reduce cholesterol if added to a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet.
Studies indicate psyllium can lower total, and also bad cholesterol levels (LDL), which could possibly assist to lower the heart disease risk. In Pairing with cholesterol-lowering drugs, which includes statins, psyllium gives an added advantage to lowering cholesterol levels.”
I totally agree on the benefits of psyllium. After reading about it from this article and other sources, I’m probably going to start using it myself. However, I totally disagree with any kind of recommendation for a low fat, low cholesterol diet unless it’s a special case like someone who has had their gallbladder removed. This kind of diet is a surefire way to wreck your health in the long run. Our bodies NEED a good amount of daily fat and daily intake of nutrients provided by high fat, cholesterol rich animal products. Many of these nutrients CANNOT be found in plant products.
Also I would totally go against the use of statins. In my opinion, these drugs should NEVER have been invented. One source I read says that statins have never been shown to increase lifespan. Plus, in my opinion, long-term use of any kind of synthetic drug is bound to give you more problems than what the drug actually treats. High cholesterol, according to some, is also a sign of longevity. You NEED cholesterol. Without it, you would die. Your liver produces 1000-2000 mg every day; that’s how essential it is. If you eat cholesterol rich foods, your liver simply produces less. When it comes to heart disease, cholesterol is the last thing to show up to the scene, according to some sources, so there are clearly other factors that actually cause heart disease.
After years of health problems, they are finally resolving and I’m currently in the best health of my life. My dietary practices go against commonly accepted medical knowledge. I’ve eaten over 3000 eggs in less than the past year and my health is getting better and better.
The point (“if added to a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet”) you mentioned are taken from University of Maryland Medical Center website. This info can possibly be suggested for high cholesterol patient. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, I appreciate it.
Very good information. I started using it.
